Careers

Deep tech, in a shed, an hour from the mills.

Most hardware jobs are a long way from the thing they are building for. This one is not. You will be on a running floor within your first month, watching an operator work around something you designed.

What this is

Small team, real hardware, unforgiving environment.

We build physical things that go into factories and have to keep working for years in lint-saturated air at forty degrees, next to inverters, handled by people on twelve-hour shifts who did not ask for them. A harder specification than most work, and the interesting part.

The team is small enough that you own something end to end, and small enough that a bad decision is visible to everyone within a week. Both cut in your favour if you want to learn quickly.

We hire for judgement and curiosity ahead of a specific stack. If you have never touched textiles, that is fine — nobody had.

Where we need people

Five disciplines.

None of these are rigid openings with a closing date. If you are good and you are interested, write — we would rather find the right person than fill a slot.

Embedded firmware engineer

Firmware

A fleet you cannot take down to fix, updates that have to be safe the first time, power budgets that leave no room for waste, and wireless that has to survive a shed full of machinery.

Hardware & PCB engineer

Hardware

Schematic to production, inside objects that get thrown around a factory floor, at volumes where the cost of a single component decides whether the product exists.

Platform engineer

Software

Audit-grade records a buyer will be shown, and dashboards that have to load on a shed PC over a bad connection.

Mechanical engineer

Mechanical

Enclosures, mounting kits and retrofit geometry across dozens of machine models from nine OEMs, none of which agree with each other.

Field application engineer

Customer

Installation, commissioning and the honest conversation with a mill manager about what the system is telling them. Spinning experience matters more than a degree here.

Tell us what you have built.

Not a cover letter. One thing you made, what was hard about it, and what you would do differently. That tells us more than a CV does.
